hi

We're thinking about implementing the exchange server archiver and i'm wondering how it behaves in Outlook Anywhere.
When outlook anywhere is able to connect to the exchange server it will probable behave as usual, Right ? E.G. users will be able to watch mails in exchage as well as mails in the archive ?
If a user wants to take outlook anywhere offline, then normally a cached version of the exchange server mailbox is stores on the local computer, but how about the archive ?? Will it be transferred as well or ?

Best regards Johnni

And a Merry christmas to all of you

    Hi,

The Outlook add-in uses HTTP / HTTPS to communicate with one of the Exchange Server Archiver components (the User Archive Access Service), so as long as that is available outside your LAN, it should work fine.

With respect to caching, that's something we've not implemented in the beta version that's currently available to download, but it's scheduled to happen before the final release.

Hope that helps, and happy Christmas to you too! Let me know if you have any other questions...
