Today we launched SQL Clone v2.4 which allows users to run T-SQL scripts during the image creation process. This means you can make modifications to the image before it is available for cloning. You may want to run a script for:
- Modifying data: run your own T-SQL script to mask sensitive data in the image before making it available for cloning
- Changing permissions: alter database-level permissions during image creation to allow other members of your team to access clone databases
- Changing configuration data: change static data and settings so that they are suitable for your non-production environments

This is our first step towards allowing you to make changes to your databases during the provisioning process.
