SQL Prompt 8.2 corrupted the earlier version of SQL Prompt on my laptop

I had SQL Prompt 8.0 installed on my machine and tried to upgrade to SQL Prompt 8.2 on my laptop. But it corrupted the tool on my machine and i was no longer able to use the tool. For uninstalling SQL Prompt, it took a long time to uninstall.

Now i have reverted myself to SQL Prompt 8.0 and i am no longer using the upgraded version. Please let me know if there is something special about this update which i need to keep in mind before updating.
