Job did not start alert sending false alerts

I'm monitoring a SQL 2000 (SP4) box, and am repeatedly getting false alerts for "Job did not start," if I look at the job in SQL EM, it started/finished fine. I'm using SQL Response 1.1.0.17. Any ideas?
