One of the key topics that come up in conversation with SQL Monitor customers is alerts; the volume of them, the format or them and trying to decide what is important and what is noise.
To help with this the Dev Team have released a preview of SQL Monitor that groups alerts of a similar type together. So when you look at the alerts page instead of the first page been filled with the 29 deadlock alerts you've received, they are now all grouped together allowing you to see the pattern in the alerts.
Ally has written a post on it at
http://www.red-gate.com/hub/product-learning/sql-monitor/alert-inbox-grouping and you can see it for yourself at
monitor.red-gate.com
Is this the right way forward? Is there anything you think we could do to improve it? We'd really like to hear your feedback. Just send an email to
sqlmonitorfeedback@red-gate.com with your thoughts.
Thanks
Mark
