SQL Source Control v6 coming soon; available now in Frequent Updates

Hi Friends,

We’re planning to release a new major version of SQL Source Control (v6.0) next week. It includes:
  • Support for SQL Server 2017; temporal tables and SQL Server on Linux (SQL Graph coming soon)
  • Support for the new TFS version (TFS 2018)
  • Has a reduced footprint, which means stability and performance is better, it no longer creates multiple additional processes while running, and the installer size is cut in half
  • And a bunch of bug fixes.
Full details at https://documentation.red-gate.com/display/SOC6/SQL+Source+Control+6.0+release+notes.

If you don't see this option, you may have to enable Frequent Updates - https://documentation.red-gate.com/display/SOC6/Configuring+frequent+updates.

Feel free to try out the early access version on the Frequent Updates channel. We'll post here once it's live and have a tweet for you to share.

Let us know if you have any comments/concerns/issues and thanks for giving it a go.

Cheers!
Stephanie Herr :-)
