Thanks for your post, Sam, and sorry to hear you're running into an issue!
Can I just check- do all users see this problem? And is everything showing up as changed by "Unknown"?
Is "Unknown" in gray or is it clickable? What message does it show when you click or hover over it? -
Thanks Jessica for coming back to me.
Yeah all users are seeing Unknown for their changes and everything is showing up as changed by "Unknown".
"Unknown" is clickable. On click, a popup shows with the title "Permissions problem - user unknown" and with the following message:
"SQL Source Control uses the default trace to work out which user made which change.
You don't have the correct permissions to access the default trace, so the information isn't available.
To get the correct permissions, make sure your server login is added to the sysadmin server role."
All users are db-owner. We've tried creating a new log database as well and users have permissions to alter trace and view database state and other permissions listed in he documentation. But still doesn't work.
Any advice or help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Sam

We are using shared model and have a change log database to log change by info. All users have db_owner permissions. We've changed the configurations as required in the documentation but we still don't get last changed by information.
Could you help?
Regards
Sam
