Hey, Karis, I'm in a pretty heavy regulated area of business in the finance sector. I've also worked in the medical field as well. I'll drop you an email shortly and we can work out a time for a chat in the next few weeks.

I'm happy to help. I deal with hipaa, pci, etc and I think I've had contact with the foundry team about similar topics already

Thanks to everyone that helped out with the research! Chris Hyde, Chris Yates, Brandon Leach, Marco Blasio, Niall Merrigan, Dave Green, Bob Pusateri and Michael Hotek - you have given some really great insight into the topic and i appreciate you taking the time to chat with us.
Keep up the great work FoRGs!

I’m looking for some FoRG’s to help with some data governance research. With the ever-growing amount of legislation around the use of data, driven by the likes of the GDPR and HIPAA we are noticing more and more of our users are spending time on data governance tasks.
With this in mind we want to understand in more detail what this really means for organisations with SQL Server databases and the needs, requirements, and challenges they face. This insight will help focus the development of our tools and identify development opportunities for the future.
If you have any experience working in a heavily regulated industry or have been involved in a data governance programme within an organisation where you think you could share valuable knowledge or insight, then we would love to hear from you. This may involve, for example, how data is discovered, classified, handled, shared, or stored.
It would just be an informal chat and last no longer than an hour. If you can help then just email me at datagovernance@red-gate.com and we can arrange a suitable time for a call.
Thanks in advance!
Karis
