Connection failed (Cannot connect)

Hi,

I have been receiving this error:

Event: Open: J:\MSSQL12.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\Log\ERRORLOG
L:\DBLogs

Outcome:
Cannot connect

Exception:
IOException

Exception message:
The network name cannot be found.

This occurred only for local instance of a Clustered Machine.


Anyone could tell me how do I fix it?

    Hi,

    Can you confirm your version of SQL Monitor?

    This sounds like an issue that can be fixed by upgrading to v7.0.10 or later if you're able to, as we've changed how we access the errorlogs.

    Alternatively if you take a look in your registry for the file path that is no longer correct, you should be able to update this.

    Just so you know, we can only support two versions back, so if you're on v5 or older you would need to upgrade to get this looked at if this doesn't fix it.
