This only happens when db2 is compared with db3.
If the db2 is switched with db1 or db3 is switched with db4 there is no issue. -
Thanks for letting us know about your issue. It would be very useful to have some more information about these databases - would you be happy to create a snapshot from each one and contact support@red-gate.com with that information?

steps as follows;
Open Compare windows
select data source type to compare in both windows
select authentication
Add user name and password
select database from both data source to compare
click Compare Now button
A pop-up is displayed and it check for following..
Registering database - Completed successfully
Creating Mappings - Completed successfully
Comparing - Comparing database- Comparing Database -- this is were I get the error "Object Reference not set to an instance of an object" and then it stops
There are no logs files and its difficult to trace down the error. Please advise.
