Oracle 12c Pluggable Database Support in Schema Compare

Hi,

Can I use Oracle 12c Pluggable Databases with Red-Gate Source Control for Oracle and Schema Compare for Oracle? I tried to connect to a PDB in Schema Compare for Oracle but it failed.

We have a number of databases for different testing environments and maintaining different non-CDB databases is challenging. We are moving to 12c CDB and multiple testing PDBs under it. So I was just wondering if we could use Schema Compare for Oracle (and Source Control for Oracle too) with the 12c PDBs?

    Hi Rajarshi,

    Redgate's Oracle tools might work with Oracle 12c, but we don't officially support it.

    We've used Schema compare with PDB's for over a year without issue for hundreds of deployments. We have tns alias for each PDB.
