SQL Compare Professional – script folder comparison query

I’m new to SQL Compare but am I right in saying that SQL Compare Pro can only compare a database to a script folder, if the original script folder was created using SQL Compare in the first place?

I cannot therefore use a script folder (not created with SQL Compare) to do a comparison against.

    Hi Robert,

    The scripts folder feature in SQL Compare exists to support comparing and deploying using scripts folders created with SQL Compare and other Redgate tools (SQL Source Control).

    Having said that you might be able to use this feature on scripts folders created by other means (however bear in mind that this is unsupported).
