Error: Unable to read beyond the end of the stream

I recently restored my development database onto a new computer.
When I tried to link the database with my source control, i get "Unable to read beyond the end of the stream".
The database seems to not have any issues with connecting to source control on my other computer.
Is there anything i need to do when i restore databases to a new sql server.

Source Control: Git
Development model: Dedicated
