They won't go away no matter what I do. I even restarted SQL Server and they still show up as in process. How do I get rid of them?

Have you tried stopping the SQL Backup Agent service for a minute or so?

    If you run the following:
    sp_who2

Are there any connections originating from SQBCoreService.exe?
