Changes to synonyms not being reported

I've made some changes to three synonyms within a database linked to Subversion via Redgate but for some reason the synonyms are not appearing on the commit changes tab. I've confirmed that the versions in Subversion are different to those within the database.

Are synonyms treated differently to other objects?
