Hi Steve,
I haven't seen this issue before but I had a quick search on google and it looks like there's a possibility it was introduced in a recent windows update: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/vsnetsetup/arch ... rvice.aspx
Apparently this should be fixed in a new update so the first thing to try is make sure you're fully up to date. Otherwise it looks like there might also be a manual registry fix.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Aaron. -
Thank you. That helped.
I had to apply the hotfix.
My computer had been upgraded with IE 11 this morning to fix another issue. The hotfix fixed whatever this had broken.
Again, Thanks -
Hi Steve,
I'm happy to hear that fixed it for you, and thanks for letting us know!

I found one item about changing where the system is pointing for My Documents, which I did with the same error. I have rebooted my maching as well, with the same error. I am using SSMS 2012 as well.
Anyone have this issue before?
Steve
