Thanks for your post.
I'm afraid this is a compatibility issue we've introduced in SQL Source Control 3.8.5. We're looking into this now, and hoping to find a fix as quickly as possible.
In the mean time, I'd recommend you downgrade to our previous release (3.8.4), which should resolve this issue.

I'm pleased to say we have fixed this bug in our latest Frequent Update release (SQL Source Control 3.8.6), which is available now.

I am trying to get a deployment script between two version of a database using TFS. I can select the two versions I need but sql compare is saying I need to install sql source control.
The versions I have installed are
Sql source control: 3.8.5.268
Sql Compare: 11.1.7.47
