I am trying to monitor number of orders per 10 minutes. This is going to vary based on season and time of day, so I'm not using a straight count, I'm using the "calculated rate of change" functionality built into SQL Monitor. If orders per collection drop by more than 10% at a time, I want to send an alert. But it only allows me to set thresholds based on integer values.

Am I doing something wrong? I would assume that in many cases when you are looking at "rate of change" you would be expecting it to be well less than 100% change most of the time. Am I completely misunderstanding the intent of this feature?

Thanks,
Andy

    Thank you for your post

Unfortunately, the custom metrics/alert don't currently support fractional rate of change. This is something that the development team are aware of though.

Can I ask you to post on the SQL Monitor UserVoice forum with a description of why it would be useful. This will help the development team prioritise the necessary changes.
