Scheduled backup failures because of SETUSER

Having just wasted a lot of time trying to find out why my scheduled backup was failing until I found this....

can I please ask this to be fixed so I don't have to change the registry on all my sql instances.

    Thanks for your inquiry, and sorry about the inconvenience!

    To make sure we are on the same page, I believe you are referring to the use of "SETUSER" vs "EXECUTE AS" with reference to the SQLBackup executable, correct?

    If that is the case, this has been reported as SB-5607.
    Apologies, but I do not have an ETA for a fix at this point, though you are welcome to periodically check back as to the status of the situation.

    The referenced thread dates back to 2009 and there's still no fix yet from Red Gate? Seriously?
