SQL Compare beta v11.0.0.308 installs; Won't run

SQL Compare beta v11.0.0.308 Appeared to install correctly, but gives me this error when I try to run it as administrator;

Value cannot be null.

Parameter name: path1

Running

Win7 64 ;
SQL ServerMSSQL11.SQLEXPRESS;
Microsoft SQL Server 2012

If it won't even start... What do you suggest?

Unfortunately that build contains a bug which causes it to crash on startup if SQL Data Compare is not installed. A workaround would be to install a trial version of Data Compare from http://www.red-gate.com/products/sql-development/sql-data-compare/.

Will the next version of the Beta be coming out before the 14 day trial on Data Compare expires?

Will the next Beta have the same bug?

The final version of SQL Compare v11 has been released and yes, this bug was fixed.
