Login to remote repository

Hello
We have been using a local repository and are now considering a cloud based version (Beanstalk).
The new repository requires a user name and password for access. When I try and connect a database to the repository it is failing because there is no prompt to enter the credentials.
How can I connect to a remote repository requiring credentials?
