Query duration

I'm a new user so I'm just trying to understand information shown in an event/alert.

I receive an alert that I have a long running query. The query duration shows xxx.xxxx seconds.

Is that showing how long the query took to run?

    Thank you for your post.

    The Query Duration is the time from the Query start time that the query finished. This is not necessarily the execution time though

    Thanks. So if it shows a duration time of 765.222, does that mean in took about 12 minutes for the query to finish?

    Is there anywhere that I can see the execution time?
