Trace data now appears in VB programs. Love the events ribbon and source code method drop down- really usefull :D.

However of 3 runs twice I received an exception at the end of the run when I try and exit my application or use the "Stop Profiling" button. Either way the trace data is lost (message in http://www.coralsys.co.uk/redgate/ants0.jpg and first page of details in http://www.coralsys.co.uk/redgate/ants1.jpg.

When I click on My.MyApplication.Main I get a message that it cannot find a rather interestingly named file :ohttp://www.coralsys.co.uk/redgate/ants2.jpg this happens every time.

    Hi Graham,

thanks for the info. Could you email me the log file from the session where the application shut down unexpectedly. It will be in:

    /local settings/application data/red gate/ants performance profiler 4/

Glad you like the events ribbon bar, we are hoping that people will find it a very useful addition.

The reason for the strange file name is limited to VB applications I believe. It generates a GUID and assigns that as a file name. I'll post back with more information when i have it.

    Thanks,
    StephenC
