Hi,
i've seen this error once before (or at least it sounds like it's the same issue) and it turned out to be an issue with an existing J# redistributable package already installed on the computer.
Once the existing J# package was uninstalled from the system and the ANTS 4 intaller (build 351) was re-run the problem was resolved.

Yep, that did the trick.
It doesn't alleviate my complaints about the Installation Dialog that's less than friendly for getting better info on the error, such as the complete text of the details and being able to copy/paste them.
Thanks,

Glad it worked for you,
if you get some time i'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the early build and what direction we are taking ANTS Profiler in.
Please post if you run into any problems while profiling.
Thanks,

Microsoft added an undocumented feature in the OS (way back), that on a dialog box, you can press CTRL+C and actually copy the dialog box in text format to clipboard.
Give it a go next time you see one
don't forget ALT+PRTSCN also copies active dialog (only) to clipboard so posting either text or image is available.

And, the dialog box isn't sizeable <sigh> so I can't resize it to see more detail. So, basically your installer dialog is getting in the of me helping you help me. Normally, this is more like Microsoft behavior than Red Gate. The dialog is pretty much useless so why even include it? I can't actually do anything with what it tells me, such as, say, copy/paste from it. All I can do is click Close.
What I can see and thus type in here is
Coult not execute
'C:\Users\jfulmer\AppData\Local\Temp\Red GTate\{7F4818d0-8B23-457F-9310-7199079FF591}\358<Text Clipped by dialog box>
'x64 Visual J# Runtime 2.0 SE(x64): Installation error
When I hover and get the yellow expanded popup of the details, I can see further that it has to do with vjredist_x64, and that there is an installation error 4113 when running program.
Sure wish I could help you out with testing, but not being able to install is getting in the way of that.
I just checked and build 308 has the same problem. Build 195_x64 does not have the problem.
