Oracle performance

Indexing, clustering, normalisation, query complexity. How do these affect performance in oracle and why are they done? Anyone know any good web sites related to these questions?

    Hi Paulus,

    That's a mighty big topic and it's going to require a lot of research! Unfortunately, our company only supports Microsoft SQL Server so we don't know much about the Oracle RDBMS. A good place to ask is probably in one of the Oracle newsgroups using a news reader. There are quite a few groups that begin with comp.databases.oracle.
