Linked Servers and SQL 7

I have an SQL 2000 Database with views on it that point to Linked SQL 7 (Windows NT4) Server.

the comparison works OK but when I try to sync I get a distributed transaction error.

Any Ideas - Migrating the SQL7 Database is not an option as the application that uses it has a blank SA Password had coded and cannot be changed.
