error with SQL Compare 7 beta / Sql 2008 express

i downloaded the beta of SQL Compare 7 today (7.0.0.392) to try to compare a SQL 2000 db with a new install of SQL 2008 Express (10.0.1075.23,CTP,Express Edition). the db on sql2008 is a newly created, empty database.

I get the following error when registering the dbs:

Invalid column name 'is_sparse'.
Invalid column name 'is_column_set'.

the status reads "(local)\sql2008.mydbname-Reading Columns"

Please let me know if there's a workaround.

Thanks

Thank you for reporting this - we're looking into it right now.

We hadn't tested the beta against Express Edition at all, so we're glad you caught this. Can we send you a new build of the beta when we've got a fix to see if it works for you? There's no current workaround, unfortunately.

Please upgrade your SQL Server Express CTP. The February CTP ( 10.0.1300.13) seems to work properly. If you still experience difficulties, please let us know.

    Regards,
