Disable splash screen on startup

I would like to disable the splash screen during startup. It takes quite a long time for SQL Backup to start up, and the splash displays in front of all apps, which is quite annoying. How can I disable it?

    I have the same problem if anyone knows how to do this or even better yet, why the startup takes so long. It was not slow until i added a SQL 2000 server into the mix of servers it backs up. Ever since that it takes forevvvvvvvver. Not to mention I use this over VPN remotely and it takes even longer...

    I wanted to add that I just changed my shortcut to run using different credentials. Since I was over VPN, it was trying to use my local login instead. Somehow it eventually worked w/ the local user, but it would take FOREVER. Ever since I changed who the shortcut is run under, it is VERY fast. Just wanted to post in case someone ever had a similar problem.
