"An item with the same key has already been added"

Hi, I tried the comparison between a live database and a backup file and received the following error after I clicked the "compare now" button:

"An item with the same key has already been added".

Clicking OK takes me back to the Project Configuration screen.

Am I doing something wrong, or have I found a bug?

    Hi,

    That certainly sounds like a bug to me.

    First of all, could you try comparing that live database to itself (i.e. Live compared to Live) to establish whether it's a problem with the backup or the live database?

    If it's just with the backup, could you create a directory called "logs" in your the SDC6 installation directory, then restart the application and try again?

    You should then have one or more text files in there - if you could email these to me at robert.chipperfield at red-gate.com, that'd be great. Hopefully that should give me some more information as to what's going on.

    Hi,

    Just to update the forum - I've tracked this down now, and logged it as a bug. If anyone else experiences this error, I'd still appreciate reports, just in case they aren't down to the same root cause.

    If so, a description of the columns in your table (along with data types) and the columns of any indexes on that table would be appreciated.
