I copied a dozen compare projects (script to a live database) to a new directory and opened the Compare Projects dialog box. I then changed directory to the one where I had just copied the project files. I then systematically opened each project and changed the server for the live database (still comparing a script to a live database only now comparing to the Staging environment instead of QA) and closed the project to save it. After about five or so of these changes the application locks up completely. The only way I can clear it is to end the process in Task Manager. This has happened four times.

We found a race condition in SQL Compare which could be causing this hanging. We think we have now fixed this, so this should no longer occur when the final release comes out.
