i had to uninstall SQL Prompt 3. Click on all the menu items, so that they would error, and let me remove the menu item, then resinstall SQL Prompt.
Now it seems to be working again.

That is very odd, SQL Compare and SQL Prompt use completely different versions of the engine and should not have any trouble being installed on the same machine. We will take a look into this and get back to you.

I'm not sure though. I simply get no response from it in SSMS, even though it is installed, and running in the tray...
I will reinstall it to see.
