Comparison projects dialog

The addition of the find feature and the ability to sort comparison projects by columns other than date compared are welcome additions!

I did notice that if I change which column I am sorting by this setting is not retained the next time I launch the program. In my usage of compare, sorting by the source or target data source is much more valuable than the last date compared.

Also, could the browse combo be made keyboard editable? I could see places in my usage where it would be convenient to be able to copy/paste a path into the combo, hit enter, and have the dialog refresh instead of using the file browser.

I agree entirely. The sorting/searching etc options are great. I would also like to be able to copy/paste into the browse textbox, and to have the last sort order remembered between application executions

Same deal with the browse dialog when choosing location of snapshot, or the folder to use as a "Scripts folder" datasource. Also when uysing the browse button for locating a folder to use as the scripts folder datasource, if you double click a folder that has no other folders inside it, perhaps it should select that folder and close the dialog, rather than then having to select "Back" then highlighting the folder in question and pressing the "Open" button (very annoying!). Or perhaps when in an empty folder, the Open button should still work, and will use the current folder.

    bmerz and rgribble,

"I did notice that if I change which column I am sorting by this setting is not retained the next time I launch the program."

This is a bug , which we should and hopefully will fix quite easily.

Or perhaps when in an empty folder, the Open button should still work, and will use the current folder.

You can do this at the moment I believe, if you have a case where it doesn't that would be of interest to us.

I would also like to be able to copy/paste into the browse textbox

Hmm! I had a feeling that this was going to come up, whilst simple at first glance, you have no idea how contentious this issue is internally. I agree that it isn't perfect, however there were reasons it was done like this. We may revisit this functionality again before beta, but it isn't a priority at the moment.

As a side point, you can paste a path into the folder chooser which will then allow you to jump to the directory you are after.

    Thanks again.
