Error when trying to profile the application

I have downloaded your beta version and I am getting an exception when I try to use the profiling API.

Exception of type 'RedGate.Profiler.ProfilerNotRunningException' was thrown. I have confirmed that the profiler was in fact runing.

Can you please help.

    Hi,

    Just to confirm - you have to be profiling the application while trying to use the API, not just have ANTS running. Start profiling the application as you would normally (i.e. ignoring the existance of the API!), and then the API calls should work as you expect.

    The profiler is running Robert. I double checked. There is no place here where I can attach a file or I could have shown you a screen snapshot. The error message says - RegGate.Profiler.ProfilerNotRunningException' was thrown. Any ideas what I might do next? Thanks for help with this.

    Hi,

    The easiest place to send any files / screenshots is to ants@red-gate.com. If you catch and discard the ProfilerNotRunningException, do you get results from the application you're profiling? Are you able to take snapshots using the profiler user interface?
