Having read through many of the comments that people have already posted, I would like to add my support to the following:
1. Do not popup suggestions when I am typing in a comment!!! If someone want to include SQL in their comments they can build it OUTSIDE the comment and then cut and paste it inside the comment. 95% of the time when I am writing comments I am getting pissed off every time I look up and see that my comments have been changed "for" me.
2. There is a problem in getting ANY suggestions or QUALITY suggestions when typing the ON clause of a JOIN. I have seen your comment responses where you say you can't duplicate the problem, but I sure can! It seems that if I use a single-character alias I get a suggestion list of every column in my database. If I use a multi-character alias I get no suggestions at all! I have defined a foreign key relationship between the 2 tables I am joining so that is not the issue.
This product has so much potential to improve my coding life if you can work out the bugs and stop the annoying behaviors. Don't give up! Make SQL Prompt the quality tool we both know it can be!
Thanks for your comments Paul. We'll look into tidying both of these up a bit in the New Year. You can tune the number/type of JOIN condition that gets generated via the Options dialog so you might want to try playing with those settings a bit.
