Hi All,
I just downloaded this software, and although I believe that it has incredible potential, I am running into issues that will render it impossible to use.
I am almost always at a remote connection, and access the database servers (SQL 2000) over a VPN connection. I have Cable internet (10 Mbps), and my company has several T1s, so I wouldn't think that bandwidth would be a problem, however...
When I connect to the db server at the other end of the VPN, the application uses at least 50%, and sometimes even pegs the processor. This was just for a simple "SELECT * FROM <tablename>" query...nothing fancy with code snippets.
Even after the software has said that it is done downloading metadata, it continues to do this.
Some other behaviors that it exhibits are locking up of the GUI (i can't even move the cursor), and repositioning of hte cursor on a different line when it does come back.
Is this a known issue? Will it be addressed in V3? As I said, I think that this product has great potential to increase productivity, but as of right now, it seems to be doing the opposite.
Thanks,
Dan
