Question about pre-orders of SQL Prompt 3

I have been waiting for the beta to be public for this product for months. I am interested in pre ordering the product "BUT" I do want to at least try it out before sending $99 blindly. Any chance you will offer a public beta or a trial version before you release it? Also when is the release date now? It has moved out a few months if I remember.
