SQL Backup to Tape

Is it possible to make backups directly to a tape drive that has been setup as a Backup Device on MSSQL 2000 or MSSQL 2005?

If so how?

    Hello Gali,

    Sorry, but the current implementation of SQL Backup only supports disk devices, not sequential devices such as backup to tape. It also implements its' own virtual device, so it wouldn't be possible to instruct SQL Backup to backup to a pre-existing backup device to work around the limitation.
