I get this issue too. SQLPrompt still appears in the system tray but is not available in Query Analyzer. You have to stop and start SQLPompt to get it back - not needed to reboot though.

OK thanks for this. We've not seen this but it looks like, for whatever reason, the tray app is failing to hook the Query Analyzer process correctly on startup.

If you invoke SQL Query Analyzer from SQL Sever Enterpise Manager\Tools\SQL Query Analyzer SQL Prompt does work, otherwise no??
