I stepped away from my computer for a few hours, came back and hit F5 on a query in SSMS. A little SQL Prompt box opened at the bottom righthand corner of the window that said, "checking permissions", and SSMS sat there for about 20 seconds before running the query. Once it returned everything is functional with one major problem: My cursor is now invisible...
