Scroll Candidate List with Mouse using scrollbar

When I try to scroll the candidate list for one of our tables that has quite a large number of columns, the candidate list disappears. I'm using the mouse and clicking on the up or down arrows on the scroll bar of the list, as well as trying to grab the slider and move it up and down.

The only way I can scroll through is to use the up and down keys on the keyboard. I don't always know what the column is called, so I can't narrow down the list by typing the column's first letter, so I have to scroll through the entire list until I recognize it.

    Thanks for posting. I'm afraid I couldn't reproduce your problem. Could you tell me a bit more about your setup? I.e. what OS, Framework versions, editor, regional/language settings are you using?

    - windows XP Pro SP2 w/all the latest updates
    - SQL 2005 Express
    - Regional: English Australia

    I'm connecting to my local db (SQL 2005 Express) via Management Studio (SQL 2005 Express).

    I've done some more testing, and notice that when I click+hold on any one of the candidates and move the mouse up and down, I can scroll the list. But if I try to click on anywhere on the vertical scroll bar including the arrows up and down and the slider, the candidate list disappears as if it has lost focus.

    Sorry, but I have no idea what might be causing your problem. Version 3 will be a complete rewrite, including the UI, so hopefully that will solve your problem.

    fyi... I see the same behaviour on my PC. Any attempt to use the mouse to scroll the candidate window immediately causes the candidate window to disappear.
