Hi,
thanks for posting. Could you tell me if you are using any weird (i.e. non-alphanumeric) characters in your server name, user name, or password? And if so, what they are?

Oh yes: "=" and space are in my password. Are there certain characters that are off-limits due to the encryption? Does the password need to be alphanumeric only?

Hi,
thanks for that. It seems indeed that we have a problem with passwords beginning with a '=' (and with passwords beginning or ending with ' '). We will fix this in version 3. For the moment, I can only suggest to change your password.

Thanks for the response, Tilman. Good to know.

I have no trouble with Windows authentication, but I get "Unable to connect. Please verify the information you have entered." whenever I try to use SQL Server Authentication. When opening the Database dropdown I receive the message "The list of databases for the specified SQL server could not be retrieved: Invalid server '[my servername]' name."
I have verified that my server name, user name, and password are correct. This seems to happen across the board with any server I try. Any thoughts?
