unable to cancel SQL Agent job Backup job

Hello,
I am currently trialing the SQL Backup4. I generated the code from the SQL Backup's backup wizard and created my own SQL Agent job. However, I had to cancel the job and I could not. I ended up killing the process (Kill SPID) to stop it eventually. Is this normally the case or Am I doing something wrong?

Please Help.

    If you were trying to cancel a backup job while it was running, yes, it can be done, by stopping the SQL Backup Agent service.
