sqlprompt suggestions

Hi - just a couple of suggestions for the sqlprompt tool:

Can the trigger keys (tab and space) become configurable?
Can the dropdowns be made transparent like the VS ones?

    Thanks for your suggestions. I think you've hit on a couple of niggles that quite a number of people would like to see addressed in the next version.

    First off, it's likely that in SQL Prompt 3 the intellisense will be much more Visual Studio-like in terms of what you need to do to get it to pop up, so hopefully this should make it feel a lot more natural to use. We're also looking at ways to make the, sometimes very large, list of candidates more manageable and navigable.

    The dropdown transparency is also something we're discussing for version 3, as we're all of the opinion that large popup windows that completely obscure what you're working on are a bad thing. Fortunately this isn't technically hard to do, and I imagine the reason it hasn't been done more before particularly is that it would only work properly (or indeed at all) in Windows 2000 onwards. Nowadays though the number of people using Win9x/NT on their desktops, at least in industry, is so small that it's unlikely to be a problem, so I'm pretty sure you can expect to see this in the new version, especially as my colleague Lionel was playing around with it a couple of days ago.
