Tab key indent behavior changed in a bad way in SQL EMS

SQL 2005 Enterprise Management Studio tab key behavior is changed even when SQL Prompt Option "show candidates after" Tab key is unchecked.

Previously higlighting a block of text in a query window and pressing Tab key or Shift-Tab would indent or unindent, respectively.

Now the block of text is deleted.

How can I revert to the default behavior? I will have to turn off SQL Promot if this cannot be fixed.

Thanks,
Robert

    Hi Robert,

Thanks for reporting this and sorry this is causing you problems. It sounds to me like this is simply a bug in SQL Prompt that we'll need to fix for version 3. We're doing a complete rewrite so we'll make sure this works properly in SQL Management Studio in the new version. If all goes according to plan this will be available sometime in September. We're planning to run a beta program sometime in July or August so if you're interested in being part of that I'll be posting a sticky with more details very shortly.

    Many thanks,

    Thanks Bart!
I love the product and it has much potential and much usefulness already in place.
Is there a place to request features?

    Yep! Right here! :D

You might also want to consider registering for the SQL Prompt 3 beta program which you can find details of here:
