SQL Server Express Support?

Does anyone know if Sql Compare 5 and Sql Data Compare 5 will work on a remote SQL Server 2005 Express Edition instance?

    Hi Mike,

    Yes -- you probably need to run the SQL Server Discovery service for SQL Compare to detect it. Also, you'll need to enable TCP in the network configuration and probably move TCP to the top of the list of protocols (maybe you can't put it higher than shared memory, but this is okay as long as named pipes doesn't answer first!)
