Timeline includes profiler overhead?

Hello,

I have observed that while my application normally consumes 1 CPU, the Performance Profiler suggests that it consumes close to 2 CPUs (i.e. the timeline is mostly close to 200%).

I think that the timeline is counting the overhead of the profiler thread. Is this the expected behaviour? Any idea on how to get something close to my real CPU usage?

    It may well be that the timeline is indicating higher CPU usage than you would expect- it is really only meant as a rough guide. The profile does, by default, actually take off over-head using a heuristic that is usually very reliable so the actual data values you see should be more trustworthy.
