Few suggestions

1. Add objects to project: alternate way via XML
Instead of performing the selection via UI, to accept a XML file that contains all the needed info (Instance, U/P or trusted, DB and object names) to add to the project.

2. Add objects to project: Selection of Instances (via UI)
By default, show only last x Instances selected in previous DT sessions;
(Even better, let user "register" instances via UI with optional import from EM registered list)
then, on user request, let him/her manually add a specific instance
then, on user request, show all "visible" instances (as it's working now)

3. Add objects to project: Selection of DBs (via UI)
Let user select all DBs he/she wants and THEN retrieve schema for all selected DBs

    Dear lfagetti,

    Thanks for those. They're all good suggestions.

    I'm afraid SQL Dependency Tracker 2.0 won't include support for automation, a command line or an API. But, as they saying goes, never say never...

    The user can register additional databases in the Add Objects to Project dialog (by selecting "Add instance" at the end of the list). You may have found this already of course.

    Regarding your last point, this dialog has been the matter of much internal design and debate, and it may well get another revision before we release. I can't promise anything though.

    Thanks again, and all the best,

    Dan
