Installation Question

Does this replace any existing Native back procedure? If I install the software, will my native backups continue to run until I turn them off?

    SQL Backup does not replace any native backup procedures.

    Hi,

    SQL Backup can be scripted for SQL Agent jobs and ad-hoc backup commands using Query Analyzer by virtue of an extended stored procedure. There is no subsitiution of native SQL commands in SQL Backup, so you could continue to run native backups and SQL Backup jobs on the same SQL Server.

    If you have existing backup jobs, you can disable them temporarily to test SQL Backup.
