Hi there,
i'm afraid there will be no default option set for v5.0. It is something that has been put forward for the 5.1 release. You do not need to be concerned about using cloning as it is implemented as file copy under the hood - you are guaranteed to get exactly what you want. Personally, I have set up 1 project as read only on disk and use this as my basis for cloning. I know that it cannot be deleted or edited.
I hope this can be used until we get around to releasing 5.1
Thanks,
Tom Harris

Postponing until 5.1 is not a problem, I just thought it should eventually be included, even if it doesn't make it into the intial 5.0 release, especially with how many people seem to comment on it (myself included)

I have posted many options to which this would be useful for, as well have many other posts I have seen.
The reponse has been "Clone an existing project instead of creating a new one"
However, with so many requests for a way to set the default options, don't you think that should be considered as an alternative to cloning a project.
I am leery of "cloning" a project as I don't know what gets cloned and what doesn't. I think it would be extremely beneficial to have a place where the default options for any project could be set - so that creating a new project would use those options and you would not be forced to clone.
