In the project configuration dialog it lists the creation time stamp for a snapshot file. It would be helpful if this time stamp was also displayed for normal database instances.

Just to clarify, you're talking about having the date last compared within the project config dialog, in addition to it being on the main comparison project dialog... ?
We'll keep this in mind, but it won't make it into the initial product release.
